From social media posts, to print articles, to television shows... the theme is the same. It's a parent lamenting the fact that their 20 or 30-something year old son or daughter is still at home, or hasn't finished college, or did graduate college, but hasn't found a job.
The goal of the Shire House Life Center is to continue providing our non-residential services and activities, but on a larger scale. We will also broaden our client base to include not just the adult Autism Spectrum community, but also the adult Neurodiverse and Special Needs community.
One of the things that will make our center unique is that we will be open six days a week, year-round, with very limited Holiday closures.
Throughout the day, clients will be either meeting with the Academic Support staff, being tutored, attending classes, working in the computer lab or participating in structured activities.
